On April 12, 2023, the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan sent a letter to Tecumseh Public Schools Superintendent Rick Hilderley encouraging the district to reconsider and rescind its bigoted, hateful, anti-American policy that banned Pride Flag displays in the high school. Over the last few days, my social media feed has been filled with two different events from two different parts of the country that are both raising similar concerns about free speech on college campuses. The two events have occurred at Yale University and the University of Missouri and have boiled over into the national spotlight.
